The most awaited days have come now. Femina has made its announcement regarding its prestigious beauty pageant for the year 2020. Covid-19 could stop everything but not the passion in people. The national beauty pageant in India that selects representatives to compete on the world stage for the Miss World contest is here again.

The 57th edition of Femina Miss India beauty pageant is going to be the hot cake for the coming months now. For the first time in the history of Femina Miss India, the whole process is going to take the digital form. All the four phases of the contest shall be organized digitally and the grand finale will be held in February 2021. After the whole of this virtual process ends, the winners shall be crowned by Miss World Asia 2019, Suman Rao, Miss India Grand International 2019 Shivani Jadhav and Miss India United Continents 2019 Shreya Shanker.

The process started with the opening of online registrations on 5th October 2020 from the official website of Femina Miss India beauty pageant and the aspirants applied until 2nd November 2020. The major highlight of this time's contest is that for the first time in 56 years of organization of Femina Miss India, the height criteria was relaxed to 5ft 3in. Representatives one each from the 28 States, one from Delhi, one from Jammu and Kashmir and one collective representative from the rest of the union territories totalling to an overall 31 have been filtered and announced.

Neha Dhupia is going to be the official mentor of Femina Miss India 2020 who has announced the final list of participants from each state. This 57th edition goes with three online phases out of the four phases during which 31 contestants will be filtered and shall be narrowed down to 15 who will give their final round in Mumbai. Thus to allow social distancing and follow the rest of the COVID-19 protocols, the main event will be organized only after the count of participants is reduced.

Here are the finalists of Femina Miss India 2020:

North India - Supriya Dahiya from New Delhi, Manika Sheokand from Haryana, Titiksha Taggar from Himachal Pradesh, Ritika Raina from Jammu and Kashmir, Karuna Singh from Punjab, Rajasthan's Aruna Beinwal who was the finalist of Glamanad Supermodel 2019, 25-year-old Aishwarya Goel from Uttarakhand and Manya Singh from Uttar Pradesh.

North East Region – Amrita Kashyap from Assam, Millo Meena representing Arunachal Pradesh, Maria Pangambam was the 2nd runner-up of Miss Earth India 2020 is from Manipur, Meghalaya's Tanvi Marak,  the 2nd runner-up of Miss Mizoram 2020 Lalmuansangi Varte, Zuchobeni Tungoe from Nagaland, Reetika Chettri Sikkim's and Tripura Chayanika Debnath.

Central India- Chhattisgarh, it is the 19-year-old Angela Kumar, aged 20, Madhya Pradesh's Rudrapriya Yadav.

East India Region -Bihar has Ananya Priyadarshini and from Odisha, Subhashree Rayaguru, Jharkhand's representative is Rupali Bhushan, 23 represents while Mouli Halder represents West Bengal.

South India, it is Tejal Patil, 21 from Andhra Pradesh, Manasa Varanasi, one of the Top 3 in Femina Miss India Telangana 2019, Rati Hulji from Karnataka, Leena Lal from Kerala, Raina Garg from Tamilnadu.

West Zone - Trisha Shetty, the 1st runner-up of Glamanad Supermodel 2019 from Goa, Khushi Misra from Gujarat, Maharashtra's Angelika Sawhney.

Union Territories’   representative is Ritika Raghav.

These 31 finalists will be given rigorous training by the best in the industry and will be under the mentorship of the former beauty queen, Neha Dhupia. Whatever Femina Miss India has been doing for the young, beautiful, talented Indian women for the past 57 years is worth applauding as it has been providing women with an opportunity to show what they are to the world. Indian women's voice is being heard on the world stage -all because of this incredible platform.
